Gas Measurement Instruments

GMI

GMI is a world leader of high quality innovative products. Investing heavily in research and development, a high percentage of this is spent on pioneering new sensor technology and the development of state of the art instruments.

GMI is ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001 approved, BSI registered and a member of the council for gas detection and environmental monitoring (COGDEM).

With over 60 years experience in the service of gas detection systems, GMI have industry specialists on hand, committed to providing exceptional customer service and support throughout the UK.  Calibration and maintenance need’s can be tailored to specifically meet the most demanding requirements.

Equipment installed overseas is fully supported around the globe by a network of industry specialist distributors, giving total assurance that your instrument is receiving the most comprehensive maintenance programme available.

GMI is one of the world’s leading providers of gas detection equipment to the gas distribution and utilities market.

First Responder

The First Responder from GMI is a combustible gas indicator designed for emergency response technicians in the gas industry.
The First Responder detects flammable gas at PPM, LEL and % Vol levels with the addition of carbon monoxide for internal atmosphere monitoring.
An optional external range diffusion probe with high speed semiconductor sensor enables rapid response in detecting small fitting leaks.

PPM Gasurveyor 500

The PPM Gasurveyor 500 compliments the Gascoseeker 2-500 with a similar performance, measuring % LEL and % volume flammable hydrocarbons, but with the addition of ppm ranges for all aspects of leak detection. The high sensitivity parts per million (ppm) range is enhanced by the ppm search range with higher sensitivity and faster response.
In accordance with the Gascoseeker 2-500, the PPM Gasurveyor 500 has the following additional features:

  • Automated zero during start-up
  • Manually selectable ppm and search ranges

The ppm Gasurveyor-500 is easy to use, with operator training being conducted quickly and it is also fully compatible with our range of calibration software and equipment.

Leaksurveryor

The Leaksurveyor uses a fast response semiconductor sensor reducing the time taken for gas leak surveys on gas distribution networks. The Leaksurveyor detects flammable gas from PPM through LEL to 100 % Vol.

PS200 Series

A robust and accurate portable gas detector, the Personal Surveyor (PS200 Series) provides unrivalled protection in confined space applications with audible and visual alarms in the event of exposure to flammable or toxic gases.
Detecting and displaying up to 4 gases simultaneously, PS200 is suitable for a host of applications in a variety of industries. The PS200 can be configured to detect a combination of Methane, Oxygen, Carbon Monoxide, Hydrogen Sulphide, as well as other flammable gases.
Pre-entry checking can be carried out with the optional internal sampling pump, and diffusion operation ensuring maximum battery life in confined spaces.

PS500

The PS500 can be tailored to detect up to five gases with its toxic and catalytic sensors, photo ionisation detectors and infrared capabilities. ‘Plug and Play’ option allows the customer to ‘plug in’ a new board with a different gas range.
The PS500 is particularly useful in noisy environments, featuring a very loud (95dBA) penetrating and distinctive audible alarm together with high visibility large area visual alarm. Pump, diffusion or both together, allowing pumped sample for pre-entry checking and diffusion in confined space working, thus maximising battery life. A robust, moulded, rubberised casing guaranteeing Hi-Impact resistance, the PS500 can be used in the most demanding environments.

PS1

The PS1 monitors a single gas, for a variety of applications. Widely used in the oil and gas industry, this rugged, extremely lightweight and accurate monitor clips easily onto a collar or vest. This puts the instrument near the breathing zone for maximum user protection and safety. Audible, visual, and vibrating alarms alert the user, should gas be present and alarms can be latching until the user acknowledges that an alarm is present.
The PS1 Bump Test and Calibration Station is designed to give a fast visual indication that instruments are calibrated correctly. Just place the instrument into the cradle and close the lid. Calibration is complete in 90 seconds and bump testing in 60 seconds. Results can be easily extracted for Calibration Certificate printing at your convenience.
Manual bump testing and calibration is also possible and only requires a cylinder of test gas and regulator. A manual calibration can be performed in less than two minutes with results stored on the PS1.
